Typhoons
Typhoons are very deadly hurricanes, they are formed when cold air and hot air mix, like tornadoes but just in the sea.Their destructive forces are very very dangerous. In this information report we will be diving deep into the topic of Typhoons!
Typhoons are mature tropical cyclones that develop in the Northwest Pacific. Most dangerous and atrocious typhoons appear in the Philippines, one estimating to have caused 20,000 deaths.
They develop in the Philippines because they have very high temperatures between 180 and 100. The Northern Pacific where typhoons form is divided into three regions, the eastern (North America to 140), central (140 to 180) and western(180 to 100).
Like any other tropical cyclone there are six main requirements for typhoon formation and development: sufficiently warm sea surface temperatures, atmospheric instability, high humidity in the lower to middle levels of the troposphere, enough coriolis force to develop a low pressure center, a pre existing low level focus or disturbance and low level vertical wind shear.
Typhoons are particularly atrocious tornadoes that have such dangerous force and are in the sea. Perhaps there are going to be new more deadly typhoons in the future with more ways to be created, so we`ll need to be ready in the future.
