We are making a Taonga Necklace

We are designing our own Taonga on a piece of NZ Kauri or Rimu wood. We will then cut them out, do a little bit of carving and sanding then to finish off we will polish them up.

Once we have finished we are going to write down the meaning of our Taonga and every time we see it we will be reminded of the message it holds.

ANZAC art and letters

We have written our own war letters and made them look old.

We have also made poppies to help us remember those who fought in the war.
